12/2 - Early Release - 1:05 PM

12/3 - Grade 5 Ropes Course Field Trip (Mrs. Maslak) - 9:00 - 1:30 PM

12/5 - Grade 7 Field Trip to Hartford Stage - 9:30 - 1:30 PM

12/10-12/12 - Early Release for MS Progress Conferences- 1:05 PM

12/19 - PTO Dance 5:30 - 7:00 PM Grades 5 and 6. 7:30 - 9:00 PM Grades 7 and 8

12/24-12/25 - Schools and Offices Closed

12/26-12/31 - Schools Closed/ Offices Open

MIDDLE SCHOOL PROGRESS CONFERENCES

Middle School Progress Conferences (formerly known as Parent Teacher Conferences) will be held in person on December 10, 11, and 12. These will be early release days for students. On Monday, December 1st, you will receive notification via Parent Square to sign up. Please plan to meet with your child’s Core 1 and/or Core 2 teacher. Grade 8 families may also get an invite from the Core 3 teacher. You may also choose to meet with an Encore teacher or Academy teacher (if applicable).

Please sign up before December 8th. Please include your child’s first and last name in the note section. If you would like to request a virtual conference, please include a note in ParentSquare so that the teacher can provide you with a link. If you need assistance with ParentSquare, please visit www.bit.ly/NPSparentsquare.

As a reminder, you can access your child’s grades in PowerSchool at any time.

GTH GRADE FIELD TRIP

Our 6th graders went on a field trip to the State Capitol where they were able to meet with Senator Matt Lesser and State Representative Gary Turco.

NEWINGTON THANKSGIVING DAY TURKEY TROT

IMPORTANT MESSGAGE FROM NHS ATHLETICS

Important message for any middle school students interested in attending Newington High School Football games:

Any middle school student must be accompanied by an adult in order to purchase a ticket and enter the facility for any future Newington Football game. Midde school students who are not with a parent, will be required to leave the premises.

As a reminder, there are no backpacks allowed in the facility and there is a no re-entry policy.

We greatly appreciate the support of all of our fans who come to watch the games and support the student athletes who spend many hours preparing for the events and look forward to your continued support
