Chromebook Check ✔

As we prepare for SBA testing, we want to make sure every student has a fully functioning Chromebook. Please take a moment to check your child’s device for any damage (a cracked screen, missing keys, and/or a broken trackpad).
The week of March 30 will be asking 5th grade students to come to the Chromebook Room to have any issues fixed.
Week of April 6th will be asking grades 6th-8th grade students to come to the Chromebook Room to have any issues fixed.
We also encourage families to purchase Chromebook insurance to help avoid costly repair fees. Insurance can be purchased through PowerSchool by navigating to EZ School Pay.

Student Spotlight: Maya Szewczyk Honors the Legacy of Dr. King

We are incredibly proud to announce that grade 7 student Maya Szewczyk has been named a winner in U.S. Senator Chris Murphy’s 10th Annual ‘Martin Luther King Jr. Day Essay Challenge.’
Maya was one of only 15 students selected from over 1,000 entries across Connecticut. Her essay reflected on how she can live out Dr. King’s legacy of courage and commitment within our own community. Senator Murphy praised the winners for their ability to push Dr. King’s work forward during these challenging times, noting that these young authors "remind us we all have the power to make a difference." Please join us in congratulating Maya on this prestigious statewide honor!

-Our Early Release Form-

For the convenience of our parents and school community we have added an early release form to Parent Square. This form will help ensure a safe and smooth dismissal process.
This form can be found under "links" on Parent Square or HERE!
Thank you for your participation.

STUDENT ILLNESS REMINDER

Dear Families,

As we move through the school year, we kindly remind everyone of our health and safety guidelines regarding student illness and injuries. Please review the following return-to-school policies:

  •  Illness Guidelines: Fever: Students may return when their temperature is below 100.0°F for at least 24 hours without the use of fever-reducing medication (e.g., Tylenol, ibuprofen).
  • Vomiting: Students may return 24 hours after vomiting has stopped, as long as they are able to tolerate a regular diet.
  • Diarrhea: Students may return 24 hours after the last loose bowel movement, provided they are eating normally.

Thank you,
Sue Lewis RN
