NHS Football Spectators Policy

Important message for any middle school students interested in attending Newington High School Football games. Any middle school student must be accompanied by an adult in order to purchase a ticket and enter the facility for any future Newington Football game. Middle school students who are not with a parent, will be required to leave the premises.

As a reminder, there are no backpacks allowed in the facility and there is a no re-entry policy.

We greatly appreciate the support of all of our fans who come to watch the games and support the student athletes who spend many hours preparing for the events and look forward to your continued support.

STUDENT ILLNESS REMINDER

Dear Families,

As we start the new school year, we kindly want to remind everyone of our health and safety guidelines regarding student illness and injuries. Please review the following return-to-school policies:

·  Illness Guidelines: Fever: Students may return when their temperature is below 100.0°F for at least 24 hours without the use of fever-reducing medication (e.g., Tylenol, ibuprofen).

· Vomiting: Students may return 24 hours after vomiting has stopped, as long as they are able to tolerate a regular diet.

· Diarrhea: Students may return 24 hours after the last loose bowel movement, provided they are eating normally.

For injuries that require crutches, walking boot, elevator use, no participation in gym/recess etc., it is required that we have a provider’s note listing all required accommodations. If we do not receive a note explaining the details for the student, they will be asked to be picked up for dismissal.

Thank you for everything that you do to keep our students healthy! If you have any questions at all, please feel free to contact us at 860-666-5418 (ext. 1) or we can be emailed at mknurses@npsct.org
Thank you and all the best,

Join Our Team and Make a Difference Every Day!

Are you looking for a rewarding way to support our students and be an active part of our vibrant school community? We are currently seeking enthusiastic, positive individuals to join us for the school year in two key roles:

  • Hall Monitors: Be a friendly, welcoming face in our hallways! Responsibilities include greeting students, encouraging positive behavior during transitions, and helping supervise recess and lunch waves.

  • Permanent Building Substitutes: Help keep our classrooms running smoothly! Building subs report each day following the regular school schedule to provide reliable classroom coverage wherever needed.

Both positions run Monday through Friday, approximately 7:55 AM to 2:55 PM.

If you love working with kids and want to help us create a warm, safe, and supportive environment, we would love to have you on board!

How to Apply:
Give our main office a call first at 860-666-5418, ext. 2302 to speak with our staff, learn more about these assignments, and get started on your application.

We look forward to a fantastic school year together—thank you for partnering with us to make our school the best it can be!
