Below is some important information in regards to Chromebooks for the 2021-22 school year.
  • For the 2021-22 school year, the district has transitioned all of the Chromebook and Google Workspace consent forms to an online platform. ALL KINDERGARTEN, NEW, AND RETURNING STUDENTS AND FAMILIES ARE REQUIRED TO FILL OUT THE FORMS. Directions can be found at http://bit.ly/NPSforms
  • To Access the Ecollect forms - Log into your PowerSchool Parent Portal account (you must use your own log-in, not your child’s).  https://npsct.powerschool.com/public/  

  • In addition, as a District policy, we would like to extend the opportunity for families to purchase optional Chromebook Insurance for the 2021-22 school year.  Insurance must be renewed annually.  The initial cost of the insurance is $35.00 and families can enroll their student(s) via www.ezschoolpay.com with a credit card or can send a check to the school's Library Media Specialist  Please make checks payable to Newington Public Schools and include your child’s name and school ID on the check.  Cash is not an acceptable form of payment.

  • After the initial $35 cost, there is a $0 deductible for the first occurrence per year and $50 deductible per occurrence thereafter. The district reserves the right to charge families the full cost of replacing the device if there are repeat occurrences.

  • If your student’s current device is experiencing difficulty or has experienced accidental damage, please have your student visit the school’s Media Center after the first day of school.
